Autism non Verbal

Non-verbal (or nonspeaking) autism refers to individuals on the spectrum who have limited or no spoken language. This doesn’t mean they can’t communicate—many use other methods, including: 1) Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices 2) Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) 3) Sign language 4) Gestures, body language, or eye movement But in unfamiliar or emergency situations, these methods may be difficult to interpret—especially by strangers or first responders.

How We Help: Smart ID Tools for Non-Verbal Autism

We’ve developed a system of wearable QR code IDs—customized with contact info and printed text (like “Non-Verbal – Please Scan”). When scanned with a smartphone, the code connects to a secure, caregiver-managed profile that may include:

1) Full name and emergency contacts

2) Communication preferences or devices used

3) Triggers or behaviors to be aware of

4) Calming strategies

5) Medical needs or allergies

These items can be worn as wristbands, keychains, shoe tags. The goal is simple: make it easier for others to understand how to help in critical moments.
